VCIC Venture Capital Investment Competition 2010

On March 5th 2010, Michael and I had the honor of presenting about Dr. Chrono at the VCIC Venture Capital Investment Competition in the Northeast Region held at NYU Stern’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. The event was a success and was great fun. I highly recommend to any entrepreneur to enroll and if you get into the event, go! You will learn how Venture Capital firms might negotiate via a term sheet.

There were a number of high caliber school students that participated in the event. (Yale, Columbia, London Business School, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell and MIT)

Not to mention a number of great VC’s were at the competition judging the students as well.

Michael and I were able to chat with some of the investors like Jay Levy, Bronson Lingamfelter and Justin Wohlstadter from Penny Black to name a few.

Below are some pictures from the event:

Carl Schramm on Innovation Committee Findings

An interesting talk from Carl Schramm:

Join the Army of Entrepreneurs

In his commencement address to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign last Sunday, Kauffman Foundation President and CEO Carl Schramm told students,

“We need an army of the smartest, most passionate young people to try their hand at building a business-people who will take their heads and their hearts into the market, founding companies that will bring forth new products and services that will help humankind.”

BootUpNYC 2009

Michael and I went to BootUpNYC 2009, it was a great experience, we met a number of great
people doing startups and looking to do startups. There were investors, workspace providers and people providing advice. The BootUpNYC is a must for anyone starting and running a business.
