Jane NewmanWith a background in science and medical journalism, Jane Newman has spent the better part of the last decade convincing physicians that the internet is their ally. At Massachusetts General Hospital, she managed the launch and developed the database taxonomy – the central underpinnings of massgeneral.org. She also worked with clinicians and researchers to better position their content on Mass General’s website. Editing two consecutive editions of the Cecil Textbook of Medicine (Elsevier) made her realize that medical information is a dynamic medium that needs improved platforms for its transmission. Before the Internet became her playground, Jane coordinated clinical research studies, made documentary films, and worked as a Park Ranger in the South Bronx. Find Jane on LinkedIn. |
